One of our chickens was eaten by a snake last night and now she's off to that big chicken coop in the sky. So long, chicken!

holy crap, that's impressive
Did you guys see the snake for yourselves and how big it was? Even with snakes being able to unhinge their jaws to eat stuff, that must be one elastic mouth to eat a whole chicken...
We're just guessing it was a snake. The hen was nowhere to be seen and the door was closed. Thus, it couldn't have been a fox, since they can't hop the fence. We thought maybe an owl or hawk, but an egg was broken, too, which suggests a snake. ??? we're new at this, too.
